Mamey de Santo Domingo - Mamea americana

Mamey is also known as Abricot des Antilles. This very handsome tree with glossy dark green, leathery leaves may reach 60 feet in height. The fruit is not to be confused with the mamey sapote. It is very large with a leathery skin. The pulp is eaten fresh, cut in slices and is said to be a great source of iron. Delicious flavor. Available in 3 gal. Pots - grafted
